Fall Meeting Waukegan, IL September 26, 2000 The Fall meeting of the West Shore Water Producers was held at, Hawthorn Suites at Midlane Golf Resort on September 26, 2000; and hosted by the Waukegan Water Utility. Mr. Roger Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:50 a.m. The technical sessions included: Development of Membrane Systems for Treating Potable Water By Russ Davis, US filter/Memcor Insight on new instrumentation at the Waukegan Water Plant By Frank Green, Malcolm Pirnie A short business meeting was held prior to the Tabletop show which took place from10:30 to 12:30. Mr. Johnson dispensed with the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting. Mr. Jeff Musinski, Treasurer, was unavailable to report the balance in the treasury; but for the record, which was received after the meeting, the ending balance as of September 26th shows a balance of $9,213.91. The next WSWP meeting will be held on November 9th at Oak Creek. The presentation of the Emmett Sutliff award and election of officers will take place at this meeting. Don Jensen alerted the Illinois membership that the Illinois EPA will not permit any exception to a boil water order unless the Utility has one year records of chlorine residuals and turbidity readings. Rich Figurelli outlined the programs for the afternoon, which included Golf, Tour of the Waukegan Water Plant and tour of the Stiles Kem Mfg. Plant and Lab.
